How To Clean Your Microwave

Thursday, February 21

You may have seen different ways to clean your microwave on Pinterest.

I put some spaghetti in the microwave and it went a little crazy, so I decided to put one of the pins I found to the test.

It sure did work! This is one of the easiest ways to clean a microwave!

(1) Pour a cup of water and about a tablespoon of white vinegar in a small bowl.

(2) Heat it in the microwave for five minutes.

(3) Take a paper towel and wipe down the microwave. The stains should come right off!

(4) Take out the microwave plate and wash it in warm, soapy water.

Take a look at my before & after!

How does this work so well? The water turns into steam which dissolves the stains, and the vinegar absorbs the smell.

One of the easiest ways to clean a microwave, am I right?!

We have thrown out the microwave knowing it takes all the nutrients from your food... Glad not to be cleaning this thing anymore.

YEAH!! I was just on Pinterest wondering if these really worked. My husband looks like he did a science experiment in there, and now it's super stuck!! Definitely going to give this a try!

Um, vinegar is pretty much a housewife's dream. It is the best at cleaning everything! I run vinegar and water through my Keurig to clean it!

It also works if you put lemons in hot water/white vinegar :) That way it leaves a lemon smell too instead of a vinegar one ;)

Love this! I HATE trying to scrub it out at such awkward angles so I'll definitely have to try this. Thanks for the tip.

vinegar is a miracle cleaner

Yep, this is how I used to clean our microwave too. Steam does wonders and keeps you from needing to scrub. Thanks for sharing!

That's why you use a microwave cover or put a paper towel over it. and if and when it does pop it wont go all over your microwave.
