This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Barilla, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #JoytotheTable http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO
Here's how the story goes...Pollinate reached out about having bloggers share their favorite fancy tortellini recipe. How nice, right? Well the problem is, I've never made tortellini before. To be honest, the name just intimidated me. I thought it would be super difficult.
But, I was determined to make it work. So I bought some Barilla Tortellini at Safeway, hired my favorite chef for the night (otherwise known as the hubby), and the two of us crazies went to work. Basically followed the recipe on the back of the Barilla Three Cheese Tortellini bag, but made an even more simple version. And I'm here to tell you...I'm still living...and making tortellini is EASY! So easy, I can hardly believe it...it took us no more than like 12 minutes. Now THAT'S my kind of meal!
So ya want the recipe? Here you go...
1 package Barilla Three Cheese Tortellini
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 cup peas
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to package directions.
2. Heat the spaghetti sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
3. Steam the peas.
4. Combine and EAT!
Seriously, how simple was that? This is going to be one of my go-to meals from now on! And guess what, this week Safeway is offering 75 cents off one bag of Barilla Tortellini! So go buy it today!!
Thank you, Barilla, for showing me that tortellini does not have to be difficult. And for making my husband like my meals for once ;)
